Add Personality to Your Computer With Stardock Logon Studio

Normally, the logon screen of your computer shows you the Microsoft Windows icon and then gives you the option to log on or lock the computer. This program, developed by Stardock Systems, lets you change the Windows logon screen, so you can add a touch of personality to your computer with just a click.

The program comes with a bunch of built-in logon screens that you can use right away, but you can also download new ones from the developer's website or create your own. To make changes, you just have to select the one you want from the list of available options and press the Apply button.

If you want to go even further with your customization, you can access the visual logon editor and tweak the settings by clicking on elements in the preview window (buggy) or in a separate tab that contains parameters like text shadows or the transparency of buttons. However, this part of the interface can be a bit confusing, especially for beginners and those not familiar with programming languages.

Logon Studio is a nice addition to your desktop and can give your computer a little more personality. It's worth noting, though, that the application is a resource hog and may slow down your computer or impede your work with its lack of responsiveness. It's also important to note that you can only apply a single logon screen at a time, so you won't be able to switch between different options every day or each time you start your computer.
